5 Week Old Wire Fox Terrier Puppies

Time to go outside, see the big world, investigate leaves, grass, tasting these new things. Wondering what is that? strange noises and sounds. Birds, cars, other dogs. Mother is close by. There is no need to fear as the human Mother is always there also. They need encouragement to explore further and further each day. They play and wrestle together in no time they will start to chase a ball and collect all kinds of things found in the garden. Peep out behind bushes and jump on their brothers and sisters. Play fighting is second nature to them and if they get too rough Mother will reprimand them and roll them over until they obey her.
After about one hour Mother feeds them washes them and they settle out in the sunshine for a good long sleep. She then runs off to play with her other friends.
Mother is not feeding often now. She has more time to herself and the babies are on to their own puppy food. They are getting ready to wean.
